Two circumstances often result from such fluid loss: a rapid slurry viscosity increase during placement, or a decline of accelerated pressure during the wait-on-cement (WOC) period. Fluid loss control is crucial, particularly in squeeze cementing and in deep liner cementing where the annulus clearance is small.
