Cement Flexible Additives

To achieve long-term isolation between the casing and formation in oil wells, cement is applied in the annulus between the two; however, the integrity of the cement sheath can be impacted by fluctuations in down-hole conditions. Changes in temperature or pressure can cause cracks and microannulus, with negative results. Mitigating damage to the sheath requires designing the cement to endure wellbore stresses caused by fluctuating temperatures and pressure changes.

When used in oil well cementing, Al Moghera CEA-100 boosts the elasticity of set cement while enhancing its mechanical properties with substantial tensile and elongation properties. This robust additive is also abrasion- and cut-growth-resistant, and is impervious to flex cracking.
