Clay Stabilizers

When dealing with reservoir rock, the effects of clays in wells must be mitigated. Composed of a range of structures, clays are prone to swelling, breaking, or migrating in water or acid-based fluid systems. Introducing clay stabilizers can work to minimize or immobilize these effects to sustain, or even boost, well production.

Al Moghera clay stabilizers CS-60 and CS-63, contain cations that can work with anionic and non-ionic surfactants without losing cationic functionality. These Al Moghera clay stabilizers preserve permeability after treatments using water-based fluids; they have proven to be resistant to the effects of shear degradation.
